~ Meditation Of Love ~

If you want to attract love, you should irradiate love.

Be a walking love-campaign. Enjoy it. Spread a buzz of its useful properties.

You don’t have to walk on the streets and hug every other passerby and ask them to hug you back :-)

But you may walk on the streets and virtually embrace everyone with your positivity and give away a small token of kindness at a time – coins for a beggar, attention to a stray cat, or a peaceful smile on a morning subway to stressed people rushing to work.

Positivity is contagious.

Handouts of positivity have numerous forms and demand no effort on your part, but they have a mighty effect of a boomerang that returns back at you with a vengeance.

Universe is returning it to you for it’s always rewarding the volunteers of love generously.

Your empathy with people, animals and nature may be unseen to others and your own activities seem humble, but your kindness is being entwined into the fabric of the universe, and everything and everyone around that get your subtle love will return love back to you, as they are being part of that same universe.

Everything is interconnected there, and everything you give systematically away will be returned to you in the most unexpected settings and forms.

When you give somebody your energy of involvement, it strengthens their self-esteem and boosts their life performance.

In return they send you back the energy of love that goes straight onto your heart chakra that helps you generate and radiate even more.

Love is like a grid that wires everything in network, even though some phases of it may occasionally be low on power.

Many people long for love, but have blocks on their hearts that make it difficult for them to accept love and become a conduct of love themselves.

Many people close up on love because they have been misjudged and unaccepted for their nature, or didn’t receive an empathy when they needed it the most.

So they set a block on their feelings for fear of revealing their true identity or weakness.

When you don’t judge anyone and give your calm unconditional love in a form of a simple acceptance of everybody in their unique nature, you do not imagine what a magical effect it has on removing the blocks off people’s feelings, as well as numerous blocks on your own way.

If luck seems to have smiled to you at last, it means that you loved somebody and somebody loved you back.

It can be anything – a person, a cat or a tree.

Spread love in any form you can and get love in the most surprising returns you can imagine.

  2. Oh, such a positive and life-affirming post! Millions of people lack this knowledge to live a happy life! b.t.w., the set of pictures is wonderful!;))

  3. I think you’re absolutely right – positive attitude is contagious. It’s amazing to see it in action with a simple example; I had a very sour neighbor who would tell you that the entire street was unfriendly and hostile, but in fact it was her critical and superior attitude that caused people to react to her in a brusque kind of way. Now, I live in the same building and have exactly the same neighbors, yet I’m never short of friendly greetings and people to help out with this or that. It’s nothing mysterious – as the saying goes, ‘it pays to be nice.’ It feels good to you and others to radiate positive energy and to smile and offer warm greetings to those around you. The sourpuss has moved away, and I’m certain she will have a repeat experience wherever she goes. It doesn’t seem to occur to her to change her approach to life and others.

    • Dear Lola, thanks for the useful insight!

Well, you see, we will always meet positive people and those unhappier ones that live in a constant negativity..

There is an interesting thing to this – happy and positive people have older and a bit wiser souls, it’s their sort of mission to share energy with others.

And those people who live in negativity and destructive thoughts and moods simply have younger, a bit more inexperienced souls, so they live on the energy of ‘wiser’ and more positive people.

We can recognize them because they always try to distress us and it’s hard not to react to..:) But we should in no way despise or condemn them, it’s their way in this life and they will learn their lessons and get more awareness later on!
Believe me, if you continue staying true to your inborn friendliness and positivity, you will become uninteresting to negative nagging people, because your positivity diminishes their ‘problems’ ))
When you stay positive, you only attract more of supportive and friendly people!

  4. What a LOVELY post Sofia. Your words are direct, touching and piercing all at once. It was nice to hear from you today at my blog and I’m so glad you decided to follow me. 5. I think you last line: “Spread love in any form you can and get love in the most surprising returns you can imagine” is the most powerful finish for a wonderful life affirming post. Most people can only identify “human sexual love” which is often times conditional. But love is really a higher vibration that can be felt in your heart. One can “seed” loving-kindness in physical forms or compassionate love as loving thoughts, loving deeds, or just being with someone side by side in good company. Or you can sit silently and meditate alone, these are all forms of love. And it’s limitless! Love to all, be well.

    • Definitely, Madeline!
I agree on every word you said. Love has wonderful innumerable forms.
It’s not only physical love to a lover, caring love to kids and compassionate love to older ones.
Love in its full spectrum is infinity. And its highest form is altruistic and unconditional.
People who attained it, found paradise in their soul and with everyone else<3

      • You’re most welcome, Sofia! May that’s the reason why I’m disturbing again and again with my little comments in your blog space. Hope you don’t mind it. ;) :D
In between, what’s that Anahata? It’s an unknown term for me.

        • Oh how can you say that:) I love and welcome your notes and ideas! You are most most welcome :)

:))) Anahata – chakra:) It’s a Sanskrit word, अनाहत, Anāhata, which in English is called Heart chakra – energy center around heart area responsible for feelings and emotions.
You know, as 7 chakras (7 energy centers of human astral body?) Crown chakra (Sahasrara), Third eye chakra (Adjna) etc. :) Yoga? :)

          Posted by sofiasiberia | 28/12/2012, 12:56 pm
          • Uh? Ya know Sanskrit as well? *EXCITEMENT*
PS: I’m also a yogi, dear one. :P

            Rahul

            Posted by Insight | 28/12/2012, 12:58 pm
          • Noo I don’t speak Sanskrit unfortunately :) Just know these terms from yoga :)

          • Wow! You’re such a great versatile pal of mine, Sofia. So how long you’re doing yoga? :)

            Posted by Insight | 28/12/2012, 1:03 pm
          • The funny thing is that i’m not like going to yoga class or doing it systematically, but my sister is a yoga practitioner of many years already and she’d taught me all that. I got inspired and continued reading further on yogi lifestyle, chakras balance etc.
Yoga is very popular in my land and we are interested not as much with breathing techniques and with a spiritual side of it :)

            Posted by sofiasiberia | 28/12/2012, 1:16 pm
          • Duh! Do it only in the presence of your sister during the beginning sessions. It has also got some negative reactions if ya’re doing it wrongly without much guidance. Better ask your sister to know further about it. Try your level best to achieve the asana positions from her and do it when you are free either in the morning or evening. But I would prefer morning for you (don’t know when’ll you wake up from bed)! :D :)
Lead your life as a yogi and experience the CHANGE after it. :)

            Rahul

            Posted by Insight | 28/12/2012, 1:21 pm
          • Thanks for your great tips, Rahul!! I’m thinking to start taking yoga classes from level one and with a trained instructor for sure!

  18. That’s right. Even when you are different, you still attract each other from the love you radiate. Very true. Thank you for sharing this, Sofia. I have a poem here that I wrote quiet a while a go, you may be interested in reading:

You think your beloved is a long hidden-treasure but often you are not content with their flaws

You think one who is flawed is cursed by the darkness and is not blessed by the light

And this creates a dark well of misery that engulfs your days and tampers your nights

    *

    *

Your beloved is not a perfect emulation to your body, but they are a true mirror of your soul.

They are not the person who leads you into the light, but someone who takes you out from the darkness.

Accept your beloved for who they are, not for what you want them to be,

For their perfection lies in your willingness to accept their imperfection.

    *

    *

You and your beloved belong to the Soul of Truth, but you were created from different substance.

If you are fire, then your beloved must be water.

Water cannot be fire, neither can fire be water.

Be content when you are water but never boast when you are fire.

It is water that pacifies the rage of fire, but it is fire that flames the stillness of water.

    *

    *

Look in the eyes of your beloved so you can open the window to their soul,

Embrace the Wind of the South tenderly and listen to its wondrous whispers,

Let the hands of love chain your hearts but do not become the slaves of fate.

    *

    *

And when the golden falcons build a shimmering tower to the sky,

Love will tell you it is time to build another bridge for your hearts.

    • Dear Subhan, you know now something mysterious happened!
I just came to your blog a few seconds ago and the first post that attracted my attention and I clicked to read was This one!!

“If You Are Fire, Then Your Beloved Must Be Water”…

Those words captured me because they vocalized word to word all what was going through my head today when I was thinking about the relationship with my beloved one, reflecting at the past..
And this poem of yours said it all…

And then I saw you left me a comment, I went back to open it and saw you are citing this very poem!
      This is beyond coincidental!
I think you gave me a very precious sign by linking me to your poem, it was exactly what I needed to hear today – the answer to my thoughts :)
I’m so happy you passed by! I’m back at your blog now.
You know, do pin-back that beautiful post of yours here! Pin-back the link :)

      • Hi Sofia… Oh, wow! That’s truly amazing! :-) I didn’t know that. I find you a deep thinker yourself, and the fact that you reflect a lot indicates this, and I am sure you must be happy with your beloved one now, despite the differences you may have with him.

I take it that you must have understood the central message that underlies this poem that it is actually differences that gear the power of love. I know it sounds illogical in the first place. People would argue that if you want to work it out, you need to draw on similarities, not differences. But my point is not the differences per se. It is not about the extent of differences, but how you manage the differences. And that is the art of relationship that many of us struggle to learn.

And I have to admit that I am failure because in fact when I tried to reflect on my previous relationships I found myself was very much discontented by the differences we had. I however then learned that differences are actually things that balance our world, balance our life, balance our love and relationship. Just like Ying and Yang. I am sure you know that. :-) If differences make the balance, then one thing that moves the couple forward is their share of dreams, their share of passion, passion about life, passion about what they do. That is why I find couples who are madly in love and are great in their relationship are those who share the same passion and dreams. Talk about Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt. Talk about Paulo Coelho and Christina Oiticica. Those people have passion and dreams and love that go beyond the limit of ordinary people that the power of their love can be felt, extending beyond generations. Differences build the gaps, that’s true. But passion and dreams are the bridges.

I hope that makes sense, if at all, Sofia. Anyway your turn. :-)

Posted by Subhan Zein | 09/01/2013, 8:29 am
        • Wow how beautifully and how wisely said, Subhan! I just agreed on EVERY word here!

There it is – differences re gaps, but passion and dreams are bridges!
I’ll be citing it all the time now, because that makes all the sense and especially with my recent-and-ongoing relationship :)

Even the greatest love is not without differences – major ones sometimes.. But then there are always bridges…
A very solid bridge can also be a strong inner sense that two of you have a purpose to be together.
Relationships can be many, but there is only That One that bears the Purpose.
And it will keep bridging you two together, no matter what!

Ah and this line from your poem was a very strong one:

“Accept your beloved for who they are, not for what you want them to be,

For their perfection lies in your willingness to accept their imperfection”

          This was the blast!

          http://subhanzein.wordpress.com/2012/11/20/if-you-are-fire-then-your-beloved-must-be-water/

Once again, thank you so much, Subhan, for this piece of heart.
